History of the College

A.D.M College exclusively for women was founded in 1975 by ‘Vidhya Seva Ratna’ Thiru. A. D. Jeyaveera Pandian, Thiru. A. D. Jawaharlal Pandian, ‘Kalvi Vendhar’ Thiru. A. D. Jeyem Pandian (President) and Dr. A.D.Jegadheeswar (Vice-President), in the name of their Parents A. Duraisamy Nadar and Maragathavalli Ammal and fulfils its mission to provide holistic higher education to the young girls from the rural areas of this District. The College has empowered generations of women, many of whom serve our nation with passion and commitment. The College is affiliated to Bharathidasan University and run by ‘Natarajan Dhamayanthi Educational Society’.

The college takes pride in stating that it was awarded ‘A’ grade in its first accreditation in the year 2004 and it was Re- accredited with CGPA of 3.11 on four point scales at ‘A’ Grade during 2011 by NAAC. In the Year 2017 the College was Nationally Accredited with “A” Grade by NAAC with 3.28. In the year 2023, the college was accredited again with A Grade by NAAC in cycle 4 with CGPA 3.09. The college has been conferred Autonomous status for the first time during the year 2004. The Extension of Autonomy has been conferred on 24th September 2011 and in the year 2017 the Autonomous status has been conferred for the third time and it has been extended up to 2022. The vision of the Management, commitment of the faculty, creativity of students, cooperation of parents and responsiveness of the society at large are the main impetus for the success of the college.
