Admission Procedure

Admission of Students

  1. Separate application forms should be submitted for each choice of Major Students. Only the forms which are correctly filled in with all particulars will be considered for admission.
  2. For UG course the filled in forms, should be sent to the PRINCIPAL, A.D.M.COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, NAGAPATTINAM – 611 001 either by post or by submission in the college office during office hours within 10 days after the publication of the Higher Secondary Examination results.
  3. Applications should be sent for PG courses within 10 days after publications of the UG Exam results of Bharathidasan University.
  4. A candidate seeking admission to UG and PG couses must obtain the prescribed applications form by paying the prescribed fee and the application form can also be obtained by post.
  5. The list of selected candidates will be displayed on the college notice board and the selection intimation card will be sent by post to the candidates.
  6. If the fee is not paid on or before the date specified, the candidate will forfeit her seat. Fees once paid are not refundable.
  7. If the candidate is provisionally selected for admission the intimation will be sent to the candidate under certificate of posting. If the candidate fails to turn up on the date fixed, she will forfeit the selection.
  8. All admissions will be made as per the Government norms and executed by the Admission Committee constituted by the Management.
  9. Admission is subject to verification of marks certificate by the Directorate of Government Exams and if the certificate is found to be bogus, admission is liable for cancellation besides criminal action being taken.

Hostel Admission

Application for admission in the hostel can be had from the warden after the students admitted in the college. Students seeking admission to the hostel must apply in a separate application form obtainable from the hostel office.

If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if her explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would expel her from the institution (Ref: Supreme Court of India order).
